Whether sitting on the "ying-yang" settees around the custom designed stone fire pit, or lounging on a reclining chaise chair in the shallow end of the pool, no other setting in Hawai'i provides such a feeling of "paradise".

As the exterior walls and doors open and recede noiselessly into the walls - completely hidden from view, this home becomes a magical place. An effortless pocketing door system helps capture spectacular views from both the Great Room and the Master Bedroom, and serves to open the residence to enhance it's spacious floor plan. The beauty of the Hawai'ian outdoor environment merges effortlessly with the contemporary beauty of the interior space. Clean classic furniture by Bolier & Company is thoughtfully arranged to enhance your views of the dramatic natural surroundings.

Overlooking the spectacular pool and golf course is a rounded formal dining area. Mounted in the dome above the large conversation-friendly table is a custom crafted bronze geometric chandelier. It appears to float in space as the area is warmed by it's amber glow. Close at hand is a wine cave to store your favorite selections.

Inside, the gourmet, restaurant-style kitchen features dramatic custom mahogany cabinetry along with extensive integrated appliances. This kitchen is a chef's delight! It is a large space that opens up to receive the ocean breezes. The kitchen has a Wolf Range and two commercial dish washers as well as a myriad of professional quality large and small appliances and service ware.

On those early mornings when you do not want the bright yellow tropical sun to pour into your bedrooms, simply draw closed the layered drapery. All draperies and bedding are custom designed and crafted exclusively for this home.

The master bedroom has pool and golf course views and also features sliding pocketing walls. On a small patio in the master bedroom is an intimate seating area for that first cup of morning coffee. The master bath becomes a private retreat. The interior shower has a curvilinear shape that resembles a nautilus shell. It literally wraps around you as you refresh yourself after a day at the beach. A stand alone Jacuzzi tub is included in the master suite from which you have a private view through the wall of windows towards a garden oasis that is filled with tropical flowers. For a romantic tropical experience, try the outdoor garden shower.

The second bedroom has several superb features. They include a beautiful black solid-stone soaking tub that has a view of the outdoor shower and tropical patio. In the bedroom you may listen to the sound of a water feature trickling in the courtyard. The wall mounted plasma TV is placed for easy viewing from the red colored lacquer coated king bed. Custom bedding, a custom rug and huge corner windows complete this stunning room.

In another third bedroom with twin beds, soft shades of blue and tan create a relaxing ambiance. The large plasma TV is hidden in an armoire. This room is bright and airy with triple doors opening into the outdoor shower and rear patio. The inside bath features double sinks as well as a large shower.

The fourth guest bedroom features a contemporary king-size leather bed. Custom bedding and draperies in a green and natural linen color pallet blend with the tropical plantings surrounding the outdoor shower and private patio. The plasma TV is conveniently housed in an enclosed armoire. The large adjoining bath has double sinks and a glass shower enclosure, along with a view towards the outdoor patio.

The fifth guest bedroom is in a guest dwelling or "hale" that is separate from the primary home, and therefore it offers additional privacy. Within the fifth bedroom is a king size Chinoiserie-style four poster bed and an antique TV armoire. Together they add a vintage Asian flavor to this space. The suite has its own private morning kitchen complete with sink, dishwasher and microwave. High back contemporary chairs offer the perfect spot to have your first cup of coffee in the morning, or a glass of wine before bedtime. Outside the triple wide glass doors is an outdoor shower and patio that is rimmed with colorful tropical plants. The fifth bedroom indoor bath has double sinks and large glass shower.

This spacious private home also has a media room with state of art electronics and an office room.

A variety of dining choices are available at the adjacent Four Seasons Hualala`i and at the Hualala`i Golf Course Club House. Choose from the elegant sea view Pahui`a for fine dining, or the beachfront Beach Tree Bar & Grill. At Pahui`a there is a private dining room that is large enough for your entire extended family. Beach Tree Bar & Grill is perfect for casual family meals. You may also want to try the Hualala`i Grille at the Golf Course Club House upper level, whose menu was fashioned by Alan Wong. Overlooking the dramatic coastline and nestled away just beyond the Waiakauhi Pond and the 18th tee box of the Hualala`i Golf Course, is the Residents' Beach House. With casual oceanfront patio dining, and a menu of simply prepared seafood this is a great venue to whale watch, take in an dazzling sunset, or relax and sip on a famous Big Daddy Mai Tai. Resort guests are welcome to join other Hualala`i property owners at the Beach House for lunch or appetizers daily - until sunset. The Coffee Company and the Trading Company Store are both conveniently located not far from your residence. The Coffee Company offers coffee drinks, Kona coffees, fine teas, fruit juices/smoothies, pastries, bagels, yogurt, fruit, wraps, sushi and sandwiches. The Trading Company offers sundries, candies, reading material, snacks, beverages, tropical gifts, and clothing.

Although the beaches in Hualala`i are limited, the Kohala Coast is adorned with a string of the most beautiful white and golden sand beaches in all of Hawai`i state. For adventurers there are several remote and undeveloped castaway coves lined with palm trees to hike to. Crescent shaped beaches with turquoise waters can be found in the nearby resort areas of Waikoloa, Mauna Lani, Hapuna, and Mauna Kea resorts. Convenient and free public parking, showers, restrooms and picnic facilities are available at all beach parks. Our favorite is the bay in front of the Mauna Kea Resort which is an easy 30 minute drive from Hualala`i.

We can assist you with reservations for extra rooms at the Four Seasons Hualala`i Resort, if you wish to combine renting Ma`ema`e Wai at Hualala`i with additional ocean front suites or guest rooms. Adding a room at the Four Seasons Resort will provide you with a changing room near the ocean, along with access to the Kids For All Seasons program (for those children staying in the hotel room). The Kids For All Seasons supervised child play program creates memorable and educational experiences in a casual, fun environment. While the hub of activity is the children`s centre, kids quickly realize that the entire resort is their playground. Available year-round for youngsters from 5 to 12 years of age. A keiki`s (children) typical day is filled with exciting adventures, which may include treasure hunts, canoe lessons, sand sculpting, swimming or even volcano building. Additional complimentary activities for children staying in a hotel room include practicing children's hula, fish feeding, feather art, Movie Under The Stars, children's story time, eagle ray feeding, ukulele lessons, shell craft, fitness walk, and basketball pick-up games.

For a fee, you may purchase a spa treatment in one of the exotic open-air pavilions at the spa. Treatments include traditional Lomi Lomi, Aromatherapy, Thai or Swedish Massage, Scrubs (macadamia nut, salt glo, or honey sugar), Wraps (aloe, ginger, or sandalwood), and other body treatments (Shiatsu, Acupressure, Craniosacral therapy, Reiki, Trager, Siddha Abhyanga). The Spa provides robes, slippers, towels and complete body amenities - soap, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, hair gel, hair spray, deodorant, etc.

Most villas typically will be stocked with a barbeque grill, answering machine, alarm clocks, phone, television, video cassette recorder and/or DVD, CD stereo, washer & dryer, iron & board, coffee maker & grinder, microwave, blender, toaster oven, dishwasher, oven, range, ceiling fans, hair dryer, spices & herbs, paper & pen, kitchen supplies such as cookware, glassware, silverware, outdoor furnishings, starter supply of soap, paper, cleaning products and utensils, and dining, bed and bath linens. Usually some beach chairs and towels are provided. Guests often misplace beach towels and chairs therefore an exact inventory is not guaranteed unless reserving a luxury class home. Some homes also provide iPod docks, high speed internet access, wireless networks, fax machine, espresso/cappuccino machine, exercise equipment and other upscale toys. Please inquire if a specific amenity will improve your comfort or convenience.

Provide your own toiletries, slippers, and wrap, however Private Paradise Villas does stock in its managed homes bathrobes and custom toiletries. Boogie Boards, Snorkel Sets, Surf Boards, Kayaks, Bicycles, and other sports equipment can be rented in advance through third party providers. Please inquire with our Concierge for reservations.

Respect the stated maximum occupancy allowed please! This is very important, as all private homes in our collection are the valuable and beloved second homes of individual private owners. The availability and future right to enjoy our multi-million dollar vacation homes is conditioned upon each guest respecting the owner's pre-disclosed specific terms and conditions. Remove your shoes upon entering your home, as Hawaii's volcanic soil can stain carpets, tile, and fabrics. Step outside to smoke please. No pets on property. Rinse off sand and sun lotions before walking on interior floors sitting on furniture. Sun products will stain upholstery and linens and may damage furnishings. Weddings, receptions, and gatherings are strictly prohibited on any of our properties, due to residential zoning codes which discourage non-residential use, boisterous use causing noise complaints, excessive occupancy causing parking problems in the neighborhood, or any use involving additional non registered guests on the property. Please inquire in advance if you will have other friends or family staying elsewhere on island if you plan to gather at your vacation home as one group. Neighborhood quiet hours are 8pm - 8am.
Cancellation Policy
REFUND & CANCELLATIONS: GUEST UNDERSTANDS AND ACKNOWLEDGES THAT THE INITIAL PAYMENT BY GUEST IS NON-REFUNDABLE, UNLESS THE PROPERTY IS DAMAGED BY A CAUSE OTHER THAN GUEST NEGLIGENCE, OR IF THE PROPERTY IS OTHERWISE RENDERED UNFIT FOR HABITATION AND NO ACCEPTABLE SUBSTITUTE PROPERTY CAN BE ARRANGED. IF GUEST CANCELS THIS RESERVATION, A REFUND OF GUEST'S INITIAL PAYMENT MAY BE MADE, LESS A PRE-DISCLOSED CANCELLATION CHARGE, BASED ON THE GROSS RENTAL AMOUNT AND TAXES ORIGINALLY DUE FOR THE RESERVATION, IF THE ACCOMMODATION IS RE-RESERVED BY ANOTHER PARTY FOR THE SAME DATES AND AT THE SAME RATE. GUEST UNDERSTANDS AND ACKNOWLEDGES THAT OWNER/AGENT/PROPERTY MANAGER HAS NO OBLIGATION TO RE-RESERVE UPON GUEST'S CANCELLATION, ALTHOUGH REASONABLE EFFORTS MAY BE EXPECTED. LODGING CANCELLATION COVERAGE IS AVAILABLE FROM INDEPENDENT PROVIDERS AND IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. THIS RESERVATION MAY BE CANCELLED BY THE OWNER/AGENT/PROPERTY MANAGER, IN THE EVENT THE PROPERTY IS WITHDRAWN FROM A RENTAL PROGRAM AND IN THAT EVENT, THEIR LIABILITY TO THE GUEST IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT OF RENTAL MONIES PAID TO DATE ON THE ACCOUNT, AND SPECIFICALLY DOES NOT COVER THE COST OF AIR TICKETS AND OTHER TRAVEL COSTS.
